某年，日本超人气偶像组合SMAP的演唱会召开在即，但是5名成员木村拓哉、香取慎吾、中居正广、草彅刚、稻垣吾郎却忧心忡忡，若有所思。在此之前，工作人员之一的富樫明男（宇梶刚士饰）狠抓阿刚的痛脚，其行径足以导致SMAP解散，他狮子大张口勒索阿刚1000万日元。协商无效的情况下，5个好兄弟精心设计了一套详细周密的谋杀方案。这边厢，SMAP的演唱会准时召开，那边厢富樫吊死密室。突发命案，古畑任三郎（田村正和饰）和今泉（西村雅彦饰）隆重登场。虽然表面上富樫死于自杀，但现场种种能够蛛丝马迹则令古畑疑窦丛生，面对团结一致的SMAP，他该如何各个击破……本片为《古畑任三郎》系列第三部SP。
